How to Open a McLaren Door From the Inside

What is the first step of how to operate McLaren doors? It’s to have your key fob on your person, or in your vehicle. If you plan on stowing the key fob in the vehicle, just make absolutely certain that it’s hidden from plain sight. If you have your key fob around and you receive a Folding Driver Display message that says, “Key not found within vehicle,” try placing the key in a different spot, until it’s been located. To unlock and open your McLaren doors, simply press the “Unlock” button to trigger the opening mechanism.

How to Open a McLaren Door From the Outside

To unlock the McLaren doors from the outside, Wellington drivers need to be within 3 ft. 11 in. of their vehicle with their key fob on hand. Simply press the unlock button to open your doors, or try the handle with your key fob on your person. The dihedral McLaren doors open outward, so we always recommend that you stand to the rear of the doors. The doors also open upwards, so make sure you don’t open the doors to your car in an area with low ceilings.

• Hold the “Unlock” button on your key fob for 30 seconds, and the windows will lower as the doors open. 
• If the vehicle is unlocked but the trunk or doors remain closed, they’ll automatically lock after 30 seconds.

• When you’re in the car, hold the “Lock” button down to raise the windows. Don’t let go until the windows are raised to the level of your liking.
