The 2020 McLaren GT is just one of the newest models to flaunt the British automaker’s unparalleled styling. Elegant and eye-catching details pair with futuristic technologies to create a look that’s distinctly original. With unique package options available, you can customize this “Grand Tourer” model from head to toe with features that showcase its commitment to innovation and performance.
An Inventive Design
McLaren is well-known for delivering sports cars that are sleek and sophisticated. The GT boasts the brand’s signature carbon-fiber structure that’s lightweight and durable, surrounded by sculpted outer housings, classic dihedral doors with upward pivoting, and a silver McLaren badge that sits just below the fixed rear wing.
With a length of over 15 feet, there’s much to look at across the body, including gorgeous gloss black accents, a full-length power tailgate, and a set of seven-spoke, silver-finished alloy wheels. Wheel upgrades are available, as are a variety of color choices. Swap the base silver coat for bold shades such as Onyx Black, Kyanos Blue, or Helios Orange.
The McLaren GT packs a twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 engine under the hood. The powertrain is further enhanced via a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, a start-stop idle system, and four selectable modes — Non-Active, Comfort, Sport, and Track — to customize your driving. Plus, the V-8 not only returns 612 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, it also helps your GT deliver a top speed of 203 mph and a class-leading acceleration of zero to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds.
No matter where you take your McLaren GT, you’ll find that it can easily adapt to most surfaces. The carbon-fiber chassis, known as MonoCell II-T, keeps you in control while maintaining comfort and stability. Toss in a rear ground clearance of 4.3 inches, noise- and vibration-damping Pirelli tires, and a proactive suspension with anti-roll bars and you’ve got a sports car that retains a continuously stable posture.
You can also rely on the GT to take you far. Fifteen mpg in the city and 21/22 mpg on the highway may not seem like much, but with a total cruising range peaking at around 400 miles, this McLaren is already more than impressive.
Surrounding the GT’s cockpit is a unique glass wraparound, an electrochromic panoramic roof with five-level shade control, and an extending leatherette bay floor that offers plenty of cargo space for sports equipment and custom luggage. You’ll also find ample comfort features up for grabs, including dual-zone air conditioning, soft-grain leather bucket seats with heating control, and glass film that expertly blocks out sun glare and outside noise.
The 2020 McLaren GT features some of the latest entertainment options. At the center is an infotainment system, known as MIS II, that offers a 7-inch portrait touch screen, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and access to Bluetooth, Apple device integration, and an AM/FM radio. An available Bowers & Wilkins audio system further adds dual subwoofers and 12 speakers to your list of amenities.
If you’re looking to splurge on style, efficiency, and innovation, settle in behind the wheel of the all-new 2020 McLaren GT.
