The center has recently opened one of the most advanced neuroscience exhibits designed to teach and inspire future scientists and medical professionals. The exhibit includes a variety of high-tech displays, state-of-the-art equipment, interactive experiences, and some of the latest neuroscience innovations. You and your children will learn how the brain works on a molecular level as well as how the brain works to create thoughts, produce emotions, and interpret senses. You will also be able to see the evolution of the human brain.

Do Some Star Gazing at the Marvin Dekelboum Planetarium

If you are an astronomer at heart, then a must-stop for your visit is to the 68-seat planetarium theater, where you can see full-dome projections of the nighttime sky. Their equipment includes both a laser machine and a Spitz star projector, making it one of the most technologically advanced planetariums in the area. Be sure to check the schedule often for their show rotation and event times.

Discovery Center and Early Childhood Playground

If you are looking for a way to entertain the little ones, be sure to stop into the Discovery Center and Early Childhood Playground sponsored by PNC. The area is designed as a safe place for children 6 years of age and under to discover the world around them. They can spend the afternoon playing at the oversized water table or create a lifesize design on the Lite Brite wall.

This area also features a reading area with tons of books and the occasional storytime, an area to dress up and have their photo taken, and even an outdoor playground where they can get some exercise and fresh air at the same time.
